Ayurveda is the ancient Indian holistic medical system, based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature, which has been practised for more than 5000 years. It means "science of life" ("Ayu" meaning life and "Veda" meaning science) and was first recorded in the Vedas, the world's oldest surviving literature.

Ayurveda is prevention-oriented, is free from harmful side-effects and treats the root cause of a disease rather than just the symptoms. Ayurveda views illness as caused by an imbalance in a person's physical or mental constitution and therefore seeks to gently bring a person's body and mind back into a healthy balance.

Today Ayurveda is a recognised branch of medicine existing in India alongside what we consider conventional medicine and is growing in popularity in spas and health centres around the world.

This practical two-day course is a rare opportunity for you to study with one of its top practitioners and she will be covering;
