The First Aid certificate course concentrates on the management of;

  • Fits
  • Common medical emergencies

The course also covers;

  • Basic legislation
  • Use of AED
  • Secondary care protocols

The training will enable successful candidates to carry out basic accepted procedures in their present (or future) places of work.  On successful completion, candidates will be issued with the Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, which is valid for three years.

Each student is issued with self-assessment workbooks, manuals and revision aids.

Maximum use is made of structured practical time, and the aim is for students to learn  in a relaxed, informative atmosphere, whilst having fun.

On completion of the course, the candidate will;

  • Be registered as EFAW trained with Holos (part of PADI)
  • Receive a certificate valid for 3 years
  • If extra modules are completed, they will be indicated on their certificate and an individual letter issued detailing their content.

Intending participants should not have suffered from any medical or other condition that would restrict their undertaking of practical work (Health & Safety requirements) specifically,  Resuscitation and Management of an Unconscious Casualty.

Due to the high practical nature of the course, trousers and casual clothes are advised for students on the course.

Course times:  10am - 5.30pm
