Emma Roe

Emma originally qualified in Zoology in 2001, working as a research assistant at the University of Wales Swansea. It was there that she became interested in the innate ability of animals to self medicate, but found herself more interested in human physiology and health than that of other animals. It was from here she decided to pursue a career in the alternative health field.
Initially training in Holistic Massage, Emma pursued further qualifications in Clinical Aromatherapy, Pre- and Post-natal Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Facials, and Colon Massage, with additional training in the treatment of back-pain and deep tissue techniques. More recently Emma completed a BSc(Hons) in Medical Herbalism, allowing her to provide truly holistic treatments, which she offers at Neal's Yard Remedies in Edinburgh. She has achieved particular success in combining Herbal Medicine, Aromatherapy, and Colon Massage to treat digestive disorders. She also has a particular interest in working with women during and following pregnancy.
Emma has great enthusiasm for teaching and continues to have a passion for learning, both from those she works with and from participation in various professional development courses.
What makes her tick? Optimism, hard work and determination!
